Minutes before the Preakness, it was an ominous scene at Pimlico Race Course. Thunder and lightning. Wind and rain. A record crowd scrambling for cover. A drenched racetrack.
Nothing -- absolutely nothing -- was going to stop American Pharoah, especially the competition.
Thunder rumbled as the starting gate opened, and the Kentucky Derby winner took charge early on and overpowered seven rivals, winning by seven lengths to put trainer Bob Baffert back in the Triple Crown groove.
"Great horses do great things," Baffert said after his sixth Preakness victory, "and he showed it today. He's just an incredible horse."
And in three weeks, the stage will be set for the ultimate drama in racing -- a Triple Crown attempt at the Belmont Stakes in New York.

The video shows mum Katie O'Connor being held down by one of the gang who pillaged her apartment in Overland Park, Kansas.
Liveleak.com reported that she is too frightened to go back to her own apartment and felt partly responsible for trusting a friend.
In the video, captured by Katie's hidden nanny camera, you can see her in a chokehold being restrained on the sofa and then on the floor.
She said: "As soon as he put his arm around my neck, I was like, 'oh [expletive], this is really happening. This is really going on.'"

De verdad muchas gracias a los buenos maestros.
El día del maestro es una festividad en la que se conmemora a las personas que hacen de la enseñanza su trabajo habitual, como maestros, catedráticos y profesores.
En Colombia, se celebra el 15 de mayo debido a que para esta fecha, el papa Pío XII proclamó a san Juan Bautista de La Salle como «patrono universal de todos los educadores».
La UNESCO sugiere hacerlo el 5 de octubre, práctica que ha sido seguida por numerosas naciones.

In an interview with Good Morning America that aired with little promotion on Friday, Cosby said he was baffled by the scandal.
"I have been in this business over 52 years and I have never seen anything like this," he said. "Reality is the situation. And I can't speak."
Cosby was joined for his interview by the leaders of the Black Belt Foundation, who invited Cosby to bring awareness about the state of underfunded schools near Alabama. The sit-down seemed designed to discuss his work with the organization, but GMA aired only the portions of the interview that involved questions about the sexual-assault allegations. More of the interview is set to air on ABC's Nightline on Friday night.
In the interview with GMA's Linsey Davis, Cosby said he's not sure if people will come to him with questions about whether the allegations are true, but he encouraged people to focus on his message, not the person delivering it.

"Wardrobe malfunction", littéralement "accident de garde-robe", c’est quand on fait express de faire semblant de s’étonner authentiquement de ce qu’une partie intime de son corps se dévoile en public. Oui, c’est complexe. C’est pop. Et si cela a un sens, c’est philosophique. Pop philosophique.
