A terrifying attack on a 21-year-old woman in her own home has been caught on camera.



The video shows mum Katie O'Connor being held down by one of the gang who pillaged her apartment in Overland Park, Kansas.



Liveleak.com reported that she is too frightened to go back to her own apartment and felt partly responsible for trusting a friend.



In the video, captured by Katie's hidden nanny camera, you can see her in a chokehold being restrained on the sofa and then on the floor.



She said: "As soon as he put his arm around my neck, I was like, 'oh [expletive], this is really happening. This is really going on.'"
