The death of Marilyn Monroe has long been shrouded in conspiracy but now a Channel 5 documentary says it can end that suspicion.



Enlisting the UK's leading forensic pathologist, Dr Richard Shepherd, Autopsy: The Last Hours of Marilyn Monroe explores the Hollywood star's autopsy report and recently revealed private medical records.



In the archives Dr Shepherd discovers a damning piece of fresh evidence, that he believes will reveal who was responsible for the death of Marilyn Monroe.



The documentary also features interviews with some of those who knew Marilyn at the time as well as her biographer.

Born Norma Jean, the 36-year-old actress was found dead in her bed on August 5, 1982, and at the time it was found by the local coroner that it was a 'probable suicide'.
