Maria Wallace had just started on dinner in the kitchen of her Dubbo home, when a mini-tornado blasted through the farm - bringing with it the loudest “scream” she has ever heard. “I’m calm now, but oh my god – I heard it coming. I was cooking dinner, and I have never heard anything like it in my life – it screamed and it hit all around us, it took gum trees down, the ceiling came down in our lounge room,” Mrs Wallace told 9news.com.au. The vortex tore through the 27-acre property, situated on the eastern edge of the town, around 5pm yesterday afternoon. The dam is in a rural area and is in the process of being decommissioned. Ten properties were affected by the evacuation order. The residents on eight properties chose to leave immediately, while the occupants of two properties chose to stay, the SES spokeswoman said. Dat meldt de Veiligheidsregio Noord-Holland Noord aan RTV NH. Van de vier woningen die beschadigd raakten, is er zeker één zwaar beschadigd. Van de andere drie is alleen bekend dat de meldkamer sprak van 'grote schade'. De tornado trok aan het eind van de middag met een onweersbui mee over Wieringerwerf. "Vlak voor Räikkönen ging Felipe Massa heel vroeg in de remmen vanwege zijn versleten banden. Daardoor moest ik uitwijken naar links en blokkeerden mijn banden. Na dat incident dacht ik bij mezelf: het is goed zo, nu moet ik de auto maar veilig thuisbrengen." De achtste plek betekende voor Verstappen een morele overwinning na de frustrerende problemen met de Renault-motor in de aanloop en de opgelegde gridpenalty van tien plaatsen. "Dit maakt alles goed. Ik rekende vooraf niet meer echt op WK-punten en had me ingesteld op een moeilijke race, juist op dit circuit. We hadden heel veel downforce van de auto afgehaald, dat heeft geholpen. Misschien moeten we dat over twee weken op Monza, ook zo’n powercircuit, ook gaan doen. Nu zilver op het koningsnummer. Wow!" "Ik besef het nog helemaal niet. Ik heb de focus gehouden en wist dat niks onmogelijk was." Schippers vond het een voordeel dat ze tussen Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce en Tori Bowie liep: "Mijn start was redelijk.
