Tony Romo Suffers Broken Clavicle in Dallas Cowboys’ Victory

via IFTTT Tony Romo Suffers Broken Clavicle in Dallas Cowboys’ Victory Dealing a major blow to the Dallas Cowboys, their star quarterback Tony Romo left Sunday’s 20-10 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles with a broken left clavicle. He did not return and may be out for an extended amount of time. Leading by 13-0 in the third quarter, Romo was caught in the backfield by Fletcher Cox and Jordan Hicks. The ball was knocked out, and Hicks came down hard on Romo’s throwing shoulder, driving his other shoulder into the ground. Romo was seen walking off the field favoring his left (non-throwing) arm as he went to the locker room for x-rays. Derek Eagleton, the senior director of media and programming for the Cowboys, later announced on Twitter that Romo had sustained a fractured clavicle, with the team’s main Twitter account retweeting the post. The injury is not unfamiliar to Romo as he broke his left clavicle in a loss to the Giants in October 2010. He missed the final 10 games of the season after the injury.
